The Drums Alive Basic + DRUMTASTIC Training is designed for classroom, recreational, and therapeutic educators looking to inspire creativity and promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being. This one-day, 8-hour hybrid workshop combines the essentials of the Drums Alive Basic Instructor and DRUMTASTIC programs, making it a cost-effective and efficient way to integrate the Drums Alive® approach into schools, gyms, recreation centers, and community programs.
Developed in collaboration with experienced educators, this training simplifies the process of teaching Drums Alive by blending self-paced learning with live, hands-on practice.
What You’ll Learn

Explore the “WHATs” and “HOWs” of the Drums Alive DRUMTASTIC® program.
Engage in a hands-on sampling of fun, interactive lesson plans.
Discover how the program aligns with National Standards for Music and Physical Education.
Navigate the comprehensive Drums Alive DRUMTASTIC® curriculum for easy and sustainable implementation.
Drums Alive combines movement, music, balls, and drumsticks to create an engaging experience that improves focus, sparks curiosity, and fosters motivation in participants of all ages. Join us to gain practical tools and techniques that you can confidently apply in your classroom, gym, or recreation center.
This workshop is ideal for early elementary, secondary, K-12, physical education and health, special education, and music teachers. This workshop is also ideal for therapists, recreation leaders, and fitness instructors who work with children and adults with diverse abilities. Maximum number of participants that can be accommodated is 30.
Teri Lund is a dedicated educator with over 30 years of experience in physical education, inspiring health and wellness across all ages, from youth to seniors. Recognized as Kansas’s KAHPERD Middle School PE Teacher of the Year and SHAPE America Central District Middle School PE Teacher of the Year, Teri is passionate about promoting active lifestyles for both physical and mental health. As a Master Trainer for Drums Alive, she presents at conferences, creates engaging content, leads community classes, and trains others in this innovative program. Outside of her professional life, Teri cherishes outdoor adventures with her family.
